Playing around with a semi-organic layout with circle and disc shapes for a web-based game I'm designing and making.
I like the way the circles kind of punch holes in the page and make you feel like you're looking through them to something beneath. But I'm conscious that use of circles seems to very popular at the moment, maybe a bit of a fad. Can you have too many circles? :)
Oh and thx for the invite @Michael Topschij - I'll try not to let my fellow kiwi down. Been wanting an account on this for ages - had kinda given up actually, so cheers.
@Grant Robinson Sure thing, I was looking hard to find some good kiwi designers to invite, and your portfolio stood out. Good work, and I hope you enjoy using dribbble. I know I was really excited to get it, and I'm glad you are too.
Oh, and how bout some actual feedback on what you've posted? Lol. I love the clever use of circles, but think that the grey text is a bit hard to read on the large circle. Perhaps try using a faint drop shadow, or something that really highlights the smaller text.
Agreed with the gray, even the separator is a bit light. Also given the circle love :) I think you are going to need an animation on that play button so that it stands out more. Black usually isn't the best color to contrast but I understand why you chose it here. I think you can do either a ripple effect like sonar, or some sort of wobble/expanding circle to draw the users attention.

Hey thanks for the nice feedback everyone. The game will be out sometime this year - I know a bit vague but I'm doing it in my spare time.
