after some comments i decided to rework the tache ha so will a bit of trimming here and there i managed to make the flicks at the side of the tache a bit shorted and then i also managed to tweak the part of the tache under the nose as i thought it didnt look right on the last version.
See the attached version to see it all :) any comments welcome
Well iv finally managed to get my coasters made and get them all sanded down, just got to get the stamp sorted out and then get the moustache stamped onto them with wood stain and then varnish them.
Need help with choosing the colours though. im thinking posiibly staining the sides bottom and the inner grooves with a dark colour and then the moustache with the same colour and then locking it all in with varnish but i saw someone who used a white stamp on wood and im torn between how to do it.
nice bit of grooming, like the wooden coaster idea - dark stain sounds good especially on a light wood, could give it that 'branded' feel...suppose it would hide any drink stains too, unlike the white?
Cheers @james.t thats a good point about the stains, i dont mind if the moustache ages and looks a bit rustic but i dont want them showing stains ha iv just got to get the stamp made and then get them finished i think. Looking forward to seeing the stamp work hopefully haha
