I think that there should be a Newsstand/ iBooks app for comic books. Basically where you would have a bookshelf of the comics from your latest subscriptions on the shelf in the homescreen, but there would be a button you could press within that UI to open up an "iComics" app for all of the old issues or larger Graphic Novels that you've purchased.
@Brent Caswell For sure! Just look at iTunes U for example. Preserves the general iBooks aesthetic while still being unique visually and functionally on its own. I would love a unified comic book system to be introduced by Apple, similar to the way they changed the way magazines work. Subscription based, but also tied to a single app (unlike magazines which are all their own apps).
I doubt it will ever happen, though. Probably not enough demand in the comic book space, I'm afraid. :\
