As I've applied to this "job of my dreams", I've been asked to do this very particular test: design a TV Guide iPhone app for a very important portuguese IPTV operator. I'll try to show you what I am doing. For now, I'll show you two different screens: login and show details.
You know what? Maybe the guys who who are intended to judge my work will stop by and read this post. Why don't you tell them how much I want the job and how you really think I deserve this opportunity? C'mon, help me out!

Very well done, as usual. I wouldn't change a thing, I think you really nailed it! I dare to say that they would be crazy not to give you a shot. Not the one you drink, the other one.

For me you passed the test. Let's see if they pass the test of good taste. You are, for me, an amazing web designer! It's very clean, as always, great color combination and feel. I have the MEO service and i want that app!
I'm also very fortunate to know you in person so when i say you are a sure bet i mean it.

I'd like to make it clear - because this has been pointed out by some of you before - that I don't totally agree with some of the elements that I had to include in those shots. Take typography as an example! I'm not particularly sure about the use of CO TEXT (a Dalton Maag typeface) for body text. Anyway, I had to use it as it is mentioned in the new MEO VISUAL IDENTITY MANUAL.

I like your clean design approach. I definitely don't like the body font. It doesn't read well and for sure doesn't integrate in the overall design style. But as you have an obligation to use it, i guess there is not much you can do. But, overall, great work! I wish you luck for the job. They will for sure hire you.

I don't like the body font either (and I think I've done a fairly good job making it more readable - take for example "MEO CODE", the new MEO APP) and I've just decided that, among a few other things, it is going to be changed in my final proposal.

"co text" font sucks.
the new meo logo looks like a sushi bar logo.
the rugged textures on the login screen don't make sense with such a tech service like meo.
but those are all "must have" things because of the brand, i am aware, so taking that into consideration, i think it looks good.
only thing that doesn't seem quite well is putting the action bar on the footer, where the menu usually is. but i guess that's just fading out since the facebook app started this new menu sliding trend.

I've decided to redesign the show details screen. I dropped the "Co Text" font for body text, changed the logo (as this signature seems to be the main one) and done some other small changes. Hope you like this one! I'm already working on some other screens.
