this is so good. id love to see your process for this - every element has its own little character - i think if i had to play favorites itd be that sparkling water
million thanks for that comment @Jason Carter - the first ingredient is many many hours. For something like the palm trees, every leaf, coconut, and tree trunk is its own group with about 5 layers. It all starts with brush and sumi ink on paper - I've attached my original drawings.
this one won't move - I'm doing a product catalog about Leatherman multi-tools and this is where the character gets stranded in a short narrative. He has to survive for five days and get off the island. he does.
thanks @Kevin Layshock - everyone definitely likes a hefty coconut or two was my thinking. Can't wait to upload more from this project as it progresses - stay tuned!

well, that makes it all the more ridiculous. great stuff - do i spy a man-face in the mix that didn't make it to the shot?

haha yes - but that sinister face belongs to the sun which will be trying to sunburn the shit out of whoever is on the island

really digging the layers here; adds quite a bit of dimension to a 2D space / always a sucker for halftones / who doesn't love coconuts
