The City of Memphis launched a new website this week (http://memphistn.gov), poorly ripping off WhiteHouse.gov and embarrassing our capable design community in one fell swoop. With nothing else to do, I spent an hour this evening and mocked up a redesign. I used the same content and general architecture of the current site.

@Matt Ladner Thanks sir. I think I'm struggling a bit with completely flat design. I definitely lean that way aesthetically, but I'm starting to think that some elements need to look like they're touchable or interactive. I'm still not sure exactly where I stand.
