Some designs for a high school production of Little Shop of Horrors. II haven't seen it in years and I have exactly 3 days to come up with something. Either of these looks acceptable? What, if anything, could improve them? Other ideas are welcome.
Haven't seen it since high school, but it makes sense from what I remember. I do recall that bloody type being kind of iconic. Not sure if there is a way to modernize that or use element somehow? Maybe some oozing off the type you already have? Looks good to me as is though.
I'm partial to the right, think it's more legible at a distance. Although I'm not sure how I feel about "Horrors" being a different font. Seems a little disjointed.
Partial to the left. I think the skull idea gets lost on the right. Plus the wonky height of the letters in "Horrors" gives the type the spooky yet comedic kind of character the show embodies. Nice work!
If you're going to expand on this idea, I'd go with the one on the right. Maybe try to work in the jaw of the skeleton, and I would definitely use a single typeface for the entire title. Also, I would avoid a typeface like the one you used for "Horrors" on the right (with the light accents on it.) It gets too illegible.
The client nixed the "Horrors" as the jaw, but I was able to push everything else through. Thanks to everyone who helped me make this a hundred times better in the space of 3 days.

Personally I like the HORRORS type on the left. Feels more genre. Really fun work, Bennie.

The plant in the story is pretty voracious - maybe the tree needs some gruesomeness?
