Putting together logo ideas for @sportily_app. Representing "sport" in an icon, without being too specific to one individual sport is tricky :-S
So, does it work?
(The icons that make up the larger "S" will be single colour block outlines I'm thinking)

Love the concept, I think it works just great! Would love to see more of this project, welcome!!
Great concept. Welcome to Dribbble!
Good concept; really nice execution so far. The grip lines on the basketball look a bit wonky to me, other than that, this is looking sharp! Welcome.
That looks really sweet good work! only problem with it is that at small scale that detail won't be apparent and won't look great.
But depends on the smallest size it will be displayed
Love the idea though, welcome to the site
Like @Mike Busby said, possibly won't come out clean when you enlarge. If this is for a t-shirt or print it would work well. Maybe you can try simplifying the objects (icon styles) to create an easier recognition for the end-user of each object used.
@Wade Meredith: You're right - thanks for spotting that. I think it might be because I've only drawn half of the basketball that it's thrown me off a bit!
@Mike Busby & @John Howard: That's my biggest worry with this idea, that it'll fall apart at smaller sizes. Hopefully I'll get to flesh it out in illustrator over the weekend and see how it copes. Perhaps, as you've mentioned, I'll need to simplify the elements of even drop a few of the smaller ones altogether. Thanks for the suggestions.
@Creative Goat, @Parker Peterson & @Abhimanyu Rana: Cheers guys. I'll be sure to post a follow-up shot as it develops more. :-)
great shot and very nice debut! Welcome aboard :) I hope I will see more from you :)
@Tomas Vateha: Thanks dude. I'll be sure to post more as this develops.
Great work, love the detail look forward to seeing more, welcome to dribbble :)
Welcome, looks fantastic!

I finally found some time to start fleshing out some ideas for the Sporti.ly website. I'm going for something bold and striking to hit visitors with, so what you see here will always fill the viewport, with the rest fo the content down below the fold. The links simply scroll down to the appropriate section.
Once I've had chance to finish the logo (http://dribbble.com/shots/899580-Sporti-ly-App-Logo-1) that will be placed right in the centre, along with (or perhaps instead of) the app name.
