The one on the left is my fave, though when I first saw it (before I was looking at it in the context of wine) I thought it was a snake of some sort. It might just be the 'notch' at the top of the "S" making it look like a head, oh, and the fact that it's in b&w. Looking forward to seeing it in colour - sure it'll be stunning.
Like! Very clever. The icon does get a bit bottom heavy because the S is touching the bottom but not the top. Maybe you can find a way to balance that out. Very eager to see it come to life!
@Martin Kool I did think about that, and that's why I thought to have top more lighter and bright and bottom would lose the excitement and go into darker shades just a little focus on wine itself. Not sure if you're getting it, it's a bit hard to explain (I do have a bit more shading on the bottom on this sketch for that purpose). Anyway I guess I'll just have to play with it when I am there.

Here's a rough start of an iOS icon for soon to be in the app store wine tasting app Sipp.
In collaboration with talented and an awesome guy overall Eric Hoffman.

@Martin Sorensen @James Cipriano @Geldy @Damian Hernandez @Tobia Crivellari ™ @Raghavendra Shet the one on the left is what we're after, she's on her way.
@Mudslide Design hehe thanks and yeah I think once it's all colored it'll be more obvious that's liquid splashing.
@Julia Khusainova woot woot, you meant sipp it. ;)

The left one is mind blowing! Nice composition, it's dynamic and, man you got some drawing skills!
It integrates pretty well on packaging too - the black bottle below it looks unique

I'm really liking the far left concept! Im partial though since it reminds me of a logo I did a while ago: http://dribbble.com/shots/349696-Elkarita-V3
Can't wait to see the detail in these when executed!

It's always nice to see WIP sketches like this on Dribbble. Stays true to the 'what are you working on?' ethos.
Very nice sketch, Eddie!
