I always aim to use as little color as possible, and only when it means something special to the user.
We used a faded blue for the link and an earthy green for the Sign in. The eye-direction is managed by the use of white, in the header, input fields and inverted arrow in the Sign in button.
The layout was meant to resemble the back of a credit card, which for most means personal data and security. The input fields are narrow because many users had long credentials.

Welcome here mate!
This is looking good. small suggestions:
- match input shadow with the credit card one (top only, instead top-left)
- make the sign in button bit bigger?
Nice debut and shot @UI Politi, keep them coming!
