I think a darker/larger inner shadow on the left segment will help indicate that that is the one that is active. Segmented controls can be confusing when there are only two segments. Which is active which is not?
@Matt Zanchelli You're right, that's always an issue. The left one is active - I was hoping people recognize the similarity to these sort of filter menus in iOS, where usually the darkened segment is the active one.
Probably a good idea to make the shadow stronger to make it stand out more.

Nice, but the button in the nav bar would likely benefit from having its inner shadow be more gradual.
