Cool idea! I feel so sorry for Lance! In a way, he deserves this public humiliation, for being a lire and a fraud. In another way, cycling at that time was filled with doping junkies! If I have to blame someone, it has to be the system! Lance is guilty for being part of that system and, in time, becoming one of it's leaders! What a shame...
haha nice!
All these years, I've felt like medias were too nice to Armstrong, even with all this suspicion. Everybody in the world was convinced he was cheating except american medias, which made him a national hero. Fortunately, America has a heck lot of other sport heroes to support.
Really disappointed that you decided to post this, Ced. Live Strong has helped a countless number of people and doesn't deserve to be further abused beyond the tarnishing of the brand associated with Lance's behavior.
What we need to do is decouple the organization's work from the failings of a single man. Would you have posted this if a family member of yours worked there?
I agree with Chris. Lance is a douche, no doubt about it. But th Livestrong organization is a good organization and hopefully can survive the exact type of unfair criticism being displayed here, misconstruing the organization as being one and the same as the individual.
1. I actually almost lost my mom to cancer and did something about it. I run and work with non-profits, including....wait for it.....LIVESTRONG.
2. LiveStrong has 'reported' that it has raised over 450 Million. Wow that's a lot of quid. Let that sink in.
3. If you think no-one at LIVESTRONG knew about Lance and continued the charade for 10+yrs you are being naive.
Would it have raised that much without the presence of a champion celebrity endorser? Absolutely not. It is a complex game of money and affluence to raise money for your cause. But you run a non-profit so of course you know all of this....right?
So, if you are misleading people by claiming that you are a clean hero who is legit when you are not, you are gaming a complex system. This isn't just people around the country donating 5 bucks to a cause.
It is multi-million dollar pitches to huge corporate sponsors, advertising partnerships and big donations from other celebs. Who.....based on what you tell them and how they view you, give all that money to your cause, and tell the other great charities that they have already committed their money for the year.
Are you starting to see why this could be a little bit of a problem?
Also, it would be a different case if he hadn't sued the Shhh out of anyone who claimed he used PED's. What a guy!
Failings of a single man?? Dude get off your own soapbox and get real.
The organization is not connected in any way to the racing team. I think you're confusing the two. Sure other people on the racing team probably knew about the doping. But within Livestrong? It's a corporate entity, offices and workspaces. No one there was out on the racing circuit, at least not within the inner circle of the racing team, and certainly not in the know about doping.
Lance has severed all ties with the organization. Livestrong doesn't deserve to go down with him.
I think everything Lance Armstrong did with the Live Strong Foundation is awesome! But as a bike racer, he's lost all credibility. This was just a fun poke at Mr. Armdope.

Wow. @Chris Wallace! Three items:
1. I actually almost lost my mom to cancer and did something about it. I run and work with non-profits, including....wait for it.....LIVESTRONG.

@Ced Funches Seriously dude? The jerseys?
Why would you rather see Livestrong destroyed over this than to have them continue on without any connection to Lance and contInue doing good work?
I don't get the desire to burn it all down just because of the former ties to Armstrong.
