there was something, that was keeping my mind busy ever since I started finishing my original logo..
and that was 1. how I could improve it or 2. make a better one
since making a better one is impossible to do (tried it), I today took the path to improve it and made the edges round, I always felt like it's too edgy and abruptly cutted off on the left and right.
this looks perfect to my eye, it's smooth as silk, not only as standalone static image, but also if I ever start with animation, (one of my 2013 resolutions) which will then flow better.. whatever that means.
feedback is welcomed and apreciated!

The rounded corners make it more smooth and legit. I think its an improvement, but loved the old one as well.
I like the improvement.
thank you for the comments! this update was long overdue!
I'm on a roll today, slam-dunkin shots all night long.
Dig the rounded corners Daniel. Nice update.
Previous one is winner for me.
I like the previous one more also, but this also looks rad.
Yes Daniel, I've got to say that the sharp edges version is better for me and I think I know why. The K is no longer made by the D, it just sticks out of it - that's caused by the roundness. I've got to agree that it looks softer and friendlier, although the other one is stronger and powerful.
@Filip Pietroń thanks for the comment, I can't see why it's not made from the D, I think that's just an illusion... I personally hated the old, I see the point why you like it, but I prefer the smoother friendlier look, and other than that.... those serifs are unique now! never seen any type looking similar.
sorry, while I apreciate your comment.. this time I disagree with your opinion.
thanks everyone else for the likes and comments!
Definitely improved. More 'approachable'. Nice.
thank you @Jeff I really apreciate it and I also agree with you!
I'm a huge fan of rounded corners, especially as executed here. Besides looking finished, I like how friendly this reads. Clearly such a nice guy like yourself benefits from beviers. :)
thank you for the nice words @Danielle, I benefit from being on dribbble, and get useful feedback and kind comments like yours, get to meet awesome people, which I probably never meet in real life, due to the huge distance we live across the globe. I'm definetely happy to be here!

I struggled for too long on how to perfectionize my own logo.
I wasn't too keen on the serifs, but wasn't satisfied with my previous attempt without serifs either.
so I had to find a middle way..something between too edgy and too round, which the previous versions were.
I cutted off the serifs, and rounded up the edges, I gave the stems of the K a slight angle, and this is the result.
it's now also more eligible as a face, which was my intention in the first place.
I also want to thank magnum for inspiring me on this one http://bit.ly/Z8d1bn
do you like the new one?
if you have a tip how to improve it, let me know
