   I like the idea. And maybe it's just this animation, but it wasn't immediately obvious that the word 'Search' was placeholder text for a search field. Have you tried any styles similar to a focus state? Like a blinking cursor? I dunno, just a thought...

   @Ted Goas I was a little lazy and didn't put the cursor in the gif as its standard iOS behavior, below this is also the keyboard sliding up further indicating they're in a TextField
