   Still not sold on the placement and visual treatment of these icons. might just start over with text links and see what happens.

   Funny you should mention that, as I've been spending a fair amount of time recently doing late 19th C. style newspaper illustrations. Never thought to apply that drawing style to modern icons.

   Great suggestion, I'll give it a whirl.
