Being that it's a new year, and being bored with my old style (so 2012!).
I decided to explore a simple, straight forward re-brand.
The Project this shot is attached to shows all the different things I've tried for my portfolio/site. But as everyone knows out there, it's so hard to decide on a final design, especially when it's a personal project.
@Sean Farrell — Yeah, was trying to do the JA thing. But simplest thing I could come up with was using three squares to build the stem + one block for the tail.
Jones logo' tail on the J is a little longer. What are your thoughts if I run with it?
This looks like a minimalist reduction of Adidas logo. There was also a design agency called "(Something) Factory" and it basically had a logo of 3 or 4 short bars followed by a tall one.
All in all, as much as I like concise and minimal logos, I think this one is a bit too minimalist to be distinct and memorable.

What are "register colors?" Not familiar with that terminology. Sorry for all the questions.

Cool. What's it for? Just for fun? Or are you doing some freelance work?

Not bad, but maybe a bit too simple? Have you tried sketching out many attempts at a 'J'? It's a cool letter to work with.

Personal Branding

After some more sketching, I decided to bring in the J + A together, since everywhere I create an account I always do "JuanArreguin."
Very simple: Two bars + 2 half circles.
Thoughts?
