Exploring a range of textures that I stumbled across earlier today and roughing up some type. When you look closely at ephemera and very old print you see that you lose the crisp edge on printed type. I'm studying the details so I can emulate them.

absolutely. roughening up text or any edge is an art in itself to try and emulate old print / painted signs.
