   SEGA Genesis Console using the Jaku base, 512px. Incidentally, this is the first 512px icon using the base. All Photoshop. Sorry no process on this one, but it didn't differ too much from this one: http://dribbble.com/shots/886364-SEGA-Genesis-Console, just more layers.

   There really isn't too much more to add. If I didn't love this console before, this icon surely has me wooed. Somebody has a mint original generation (the one that came with Altered Beast) on eBay for $800. That's actually not bad since it was $300 back in, what, 1990? So tempting.

   Now I feel compelled to do the NES, the 2nd sexiest console ever (has that old-school Braun simplicity to it).

   @Martin David Thanks dude. NES shouldn't take me near as long as this one. One thing I did mess up in this piece is the drop under the cartridge disc. The corners that bend away from the circle need to be more prominent. They just didn't scale up well from the iPad icon. Noticed them on upload. It's going to bug me so maybe I'll revisit this when I have time.

   @William Szilveszter I'm really a fan of your console icons!! I'm glad you decided to show some in 512px . oh yeah I havnt noticed the missing shadow on the cartrige but if you continue like this it cant go wrong!

    @Martin David thanks dude. I predominately make ones for Jaku so I luck out in that I just need to do one size. Client work is pretty much the only time I get to do 512px (and now 1024px). I love all the old consoles so I think I may just port them all using the traditional Apple icon base. They are just great fun to work on in my spare time.
