So I have been thinking about a little utility app for interacting with real life devices (like doors, windows, shutters) using iOS and Arduino and Raspberry Pi for interfacing with the hardware.

I really like the concept mate!
My 2 cents... I think you don't need that inlay border... you know, when the card is there, it looks like it's in front of the paging controller with that drop shadow, and when it's go up, there is a hole... I think you don't need that, and it'll looks cleaner too!
I actually have a question... I have tried to get a good animation at an angle on a screen like this shot, but never get it quite right. How did you go about doing this? If you don't mind me asking that is. haha
That's super nice. I kinda agree with @Juan Carlos Ferraris though, don't think this shadow is very useful. Might be worth trying to get rid of it and see if it looks better (it may not).

Thats something im working on as well, one Arduino Uno and two Raspberry Pi's but its more of a connected device :)
