I really like how the inner button seems to pop more when the button is down. Is the ridge-line of the bottom of the search button just a little to close to the same as the button border. Gives me just a "off-ness". The field is rad; soft shadow comes in great and the lower ridge-line is bomb.
It would be cool if those two buttons were joined visually, like a sort of toggle switch between "title only" and "full text." They are related to each other, and activating the one deactivates the other (right?).
Also, that search button has some funk going on with the shadow. Probably needs a white drop shadow underneath to match the input next to it.
Morgan: these is a rough idea of what I was talking about.
The shadow looked strange on the button, and didn’t really make sense, since if this were in Real Life, the button would probably be flush with the surface it’s on. but it would have an obvious edge which becomes more apparent once the button is depressed.
The “search full text” would probably need some other treatment besides dimming it. Looking at it now, the dimmed state looks almost disabled.
The only think I would say is that for me is a little bit weird to have these options out of the search box. At the end - If I've understood it- they are changing the search focus, right?

Sweeet stuff my man! I think a highlight on the bottom edge of the pressed "Search Title Only"-button would do it good :)

You guys are crazy nice. Stoked that you like it!
Pontus! It's there buddy, unfortunately the white gradient in the background is camouflaging it.

OMG, it's there! Your honor, I drop my charges! :)
Could you darken the gradient then? Just a tinsy bit to make the highlight pop out? It looks kinda blurry with no discernable edge...

Search button colors are a bit awkward for me. I know what you're going for, but I think some small tweaks to brighten it up could do wonders.

Great idea Mike! I'm going to have to try it.
I think I like the search button. I know the shadow blends a little bit, but that was my intention.
I would love to see a rebound of anyone thoughts on the search button.

My only beef is that you lose the sharpness of the button. Dark + light + dark is crisper.

I think the colors of the search button are perfect as is, just maybe clean up that shadow a bit. Beautiful!

That's a very good point Sergio! Though, this little bit resides only on the search page. So, I'm sure it's not confusing.
Thanks Travis.
