Putting the finishes touches on a small revamp of the A Book Apart site. It's responsive and using SVG for all the simple book cover thumbs. Don't miss the full sized attachment. Hoping to launch sometime this week.
Love the idea of using SVG for simplified images. It’s the way of the future. Are you using SVG for other iconography on the site too?
(Unrelated, but still not sure how I feel about the diverging AxA brands—although, the new AEA site is gorgeous. Hoping it will all fit together with the imminent ALA launch.)

Yep! Only the non-vector stuff will be JPGs, and I'm trying out that 220% low res thing on those. We're using Grunticon for the SVG images and I love how fast it is.

Yeah, though I think it's OK that they spread out a little.
Looking good! My only critique would be about incosistency - active state item in main navigation is squared on full size while it's rounded on the resized version. Same goes for CTA "add" buttons - the devil is in the details! :)
I'm a pro SVG thinker myself - but be carefull, lots of Android users (roughly 60%) will have problems with native support of SVG...
@Ben Howdle: We're actually using Grunticon. Super easy and generates pngs for you.
@Frane Gorjanc: I wouldn't say any of those things are inconsistent, they just needed to adapt to different sizes. The important thing is that they maintain their essence across different scenarios, which I think they do nicely.
@Jason Santa Maria Well darn, that is cool. But if you think people could benefit from auto-SVG fallbacks, then giving SVGeezy a share would be awesome : ) Thanks! Your shot looks great btw.

Really like the visual on the books. You made it really tangible.
Looking forward to see the whole site.

Jason, I am quite pleased with the spread showing the many formats each book is in.

Genius Revamp—now Titles are more prominent… and the UI is friendly flowless.

Love how this collapses and the 'full package' product look inline with the product/pricing below. Love it!

If you need a SVG fallback plugin that handles browsers that don't render SVGs, then look no further.

I am sensing a blurry pixel somewhere.
