Here I go, this is my first shot of 2013. This is the continuation of my secret project. This would be the profile view. The upper right corner might be skeu with the following toggle. But I would like to try it out.
Great stuff mate, I'll make the menu bar icons a bit larger and expecialy the ntification badge, they're too small and the low contrast will make them even harder to see in the daylight.
First glance: I love the colors, great choice. The toggle button almost seems like I can touch my screen and slide that bad boy over (nice work).
Top icons (bell / messages): These seem a bit small in my opinion, I'd suggest making them a little larger.
Thumbnails: The thumbnails at the bottom are really nice! :) I love the little details like that inner glow. Maybe give them some more breathing room by reducing their size?
If I see the usability correctly, the buttons with profiles can be tapped, while icons without a surrounding button shape cannot? If so, are they just indicating the status of messages? If both icons can be tapped, why using buttons on some?
“Subscribers” and “Subscriptions” look almost the same at first glance. From a usability perspective, they should be more distinctive words.
Does this button row (Photos, Subscribers…) function like tabs, when you tap on one, it shows a different view below? It would be the expected action of the current view.
Why circles for photos? Does it have an experience function (button, tappable) or is it decoration/styling?
These are my initial thoughts. I love the overall styling and feeling, and I am a sucker for matte slate interfaces. Styling wise I think it is great work!
@Henning von Vogelsang Thanks for the very constructive feedback :) I agree with Subscribers & Subscriptions. I think the way I used the icons at the topbar without buttons is something recognize able since Facebook uses it.
Circles for the photos is basically just styling. This project is all about trying different things, successful or not. The button row is for a different screen view.
@Victor Erixon, I see you are trying various fonts in your UI work. A relatively new font you may be interested in is the font Oxygen. Italics don’t exist yet, but it is available as Light, Regular and Bold.

Your work is bad ass. Good job. I agree with @Virgil Pana on the menu bar icon size.
And if it were me I would remove the border around the menu icon just keep the circle and 3 lines.

@Virgil Pana @Mike Busby You might be right, I'll have to test that. In daylight I think the icon sizes are okay.

This is sweet, I'd make the icons a tiny bit bigger, but not having used the app I don't know how the usability is.
But as usual, unreal talent.
