I'm very aware that there isn't a widely agreed terminology in brand design. This is the one I came up with, mostly to have ad hand a complete set of terms and even more to communicate the *huge* difference between "mark" and "brand". :)
This is a new icon that is coming up in popularity. It's an interesting one, not only for the name, hamburger, but also because it isn't that meaningful by itself, so it's fascinating how it's getting adopted even if it doesn't convey any message.
Only time will tell if it keeps up or if it will disappear. :)
