Started building out the identity system for our youth group.
The Rock is the core logo/mark and name of the youth group. It's a simplified cornerstone (of a building) in perspective. I then split this shape in order to build out the core sub-groups.
The Rally is the outreach/leadership group. I wanted the mark to convey multiplied momentum and forward motion.
The Ready is the discipleship group. I wanted the mark to convey coming together and the printed page.
Do you guys see what I see? Any other input?

Love this! You can do so much with those simple shapes. My only suggestion is turning the Rally mark 90 degrees so that is "grows" upward instead of backward. Hope I explained that well.
Good work and clever thinking.
1) Core identity is solid, though I would downplay “the” a bit (with either a varying font weight or a different face) to give it breathing room (since everything is heavy) and hierarchy.
2) The Ready reads as a book, which works for discipleship and is a clever inversion of the main logomark.
3) The Rally doesn’t really read as anything specific—is it a speaker? Doors? Sideways cups? I’m not sure.
4) It seems a bit ambitious to create a modular brand extension that's essentially a house of brands (they're related, but make no mistake, those are three logos and three identities) for a youth group (no matter how large it may be). You're just asking for confusion and a watered down brand over time. I might rethink the brand strategy in that regard.

I haven't solidified type yet and think your feedback is spot on. I agree that the Rally mark is pretty darn abstract—especially in comparison to the other marks.
As for now, the core identity is all that I'm 100% on, so I'll definitely be giving the brand extensions some more thought. Glad you dig.

The Concept of the groups. The Rock, The Rally, and The Ready. I like it. I've been looking for some discipleship building ideas and this one is pretty neat.
@Shawn Rinkenbaugh glad you like them! We obviously don't have these trademarked or anything, haha, so you can definitely use the idea. I'd try and re-work it a bit too so it works best with your audience and goals :)
Yeah for sure! Awesome. It's always good to find new ideas. We may or may not end up using it but seriously great idea!
I agreed with @Joshua Blankenship on downplaying "The." Also, the corners all feel really sharp right now. A very slight rounding on them could give it just a little more friendly vibe.
I'm curious what a horizontal layout would look like for these as well, where the type is to the right of the mark.

@Jim LePage thanks dude! The text was more for labeling the shot opposed to the actual logo type -- so I'll definitely be knocking down those "the"s. I'm working on some horizontal layouts as well and though about subtle rounded corners earlier so I'll give it a spin.

Great work man. Very solid and consistent. Just a thought if you're still in exploration, maybe trying extending the top and bottom anchors so the overall shape is closer to a hexagon. Maybe giving it a little more of a rock/Zelda type gem feel at the same time as having the cornerstone/building perspective. Just a thought. Great work man.
