I'm roughly happy with this, but I know there's something not right about the active state. Can't quite put my finger on it.

Loving it.
The active state: at the moment it's comparatively "de-emphasised". Perhaps making it darker, or taking a colour from the masthead image and applying it as a background may fix it. Although I hear that colour extraction stuff ain't easy.

I agree with John, the current state looks de-emphasized. I'd try try swapping the colours on the current and non-current ones.

@John @Tony It's not normally something I'd do, but de-emphasising the active state was actually intentional. I've tried lightening the default link colour and darkening the active state, but the result is a reduction in prominence of the entire navigation. I'll get this nailed tomorrow and rebound the sucker.
