I think gif's are ok as far as they are showing sort of UI animation. I hate shots with multi-pictures.
I think the arrows on the pull down form need to reverse alongside the pull down animation to point up, and the words "Add Comment" change to "Hide Form" or maybe not...
I love he execution of this, nice job! From an UX point of view it's not very clear that users can drag the button to unfold the form. Instead of "Add comment" you could replace the label by "Drag to comment" or something similar that informs users they can unfold it.

Just one question - why not show the form already there? The drag seems to be an unnecessary step (apart from adding eye candy).
That said, if it were tappable (in addition to draggable), shown keyboard and focused on the field, it would be about the same.

It seems like a lot of work just to make a comment though. Read instruction, drag field down, tap comment field, up comes keyboard...
Could be achieved with much less interaction :)
