New styling for the datagrid. The status colors are not my choice. Some clients can be really "persuasive". I still say to this client that it will clutter the screen with unnecessary contrast and that the colors should be softer...

I really like this, would love to see it marked up.
I'll post some rebounds of the CSS version Oisin ;)
There may be room to make things softer subtley like a 5% difference, or as a shortcut opacity:.9 in css. And still communicate the same clear urgency in order to achieve a better balance between the status colors and the information that they act on.
re: dealing with clients, something like this is easier to show than explain. Also having a clearly laid out hierarchy of information importance (e.g. is status > other info like type ,etc. or is status = document number etc. ) always makes decision making easier.
Love love love the colored labels and buttons. They really bring an otherwise monotonous set of text data to life.
If you're taking feedback 3 months after posting, I think you can find a nice sans-serif font for the table rows.
