Finally had some time to finish this free replacement for Garageband. This was definitely one of the most complicated icons I've worked on, and getting the details right was a fun challenge [you can get a closer look in the @2x version].
PS: Thanks to George Harrison, on whose famous Les Paul guitar I modeled this one. Thanks as well to Louie Mantia, who gave some very helpful advice on the fine-tuning ;)
@Ollin, you're amazing as always, this is just crazy good, love the wood, you did a great job on toning that one! 10 out of 10 for this. Will we ever see the source files by any chance?
I know its hard to get the perspective right, just meant that the outline might be a bit off or the base path wasn't perfect to begin with. http://cl.ly/image/2f2C0H3C0b10
@Dicky J 蔣世基@Jeremy Goldberg I chose to remove the knob for the sake of simplicity. It was an intentional decision, though I am not sure it was the best one. Do you think it would look better with the knob?
You missed the three-way toggle and your tune-o-matic wouldn't work this way(bridge!), sir. For me as a guitar addict it will always be like something's not allright ;)
@Ollin I surround myself with Les Paul's, so I'm just used to seeing it. Most people would never know, but if you're going for a realistic guitar, it should be there.

You can grab this icon from the attachment or from my website.

This is fantastic! The guitar strings should be different sizes but I'm sure it wouldn't translate. Also would have liked to see the tone knob.

@Ilie Ciorba He works in GIMP. I doubt the source files would help anyone. :P
Incredible improvements. Especially around the strings. You around today?

Nice lighting/details, some of the body curves are a bit weird and the perspective/positioning/spacing of the bridge/humbuckers is off.

@Mac Tyler Could you explain? Here's my reference. I agree the bridge is a little off but I'm curious about the other parts .
