Looks delicious! My one concern with using solely images to represent categories is if people can make the mental jump from image to sub-category. Does pizza represent italian? Or just pizza? How do you distinguish between salad and vegetarian? What food indicates Thai? Just some quick thoughts! Hopefully you've already figured that out ;)
