I figured seen as the world didn't end I wanna start writing in 2013, not just about design but as life as a product designer living in Berlin.
I've said this to myself many time before but I think its about time! So here's the first design.

Looks cool! Color is kinda intimidating though :)
Answer 1: YES! JUST DO IT!
Answer 2: Maybe Folks or Quicksand?
TypeKit library has Proxima Nova Soft which is similar.
Use Lato. Trust me...
1: For sure start writing, I've been in the same position living in Berlin and designing, it is a great life and I'd love to hear other people's experience.
2: @font-face implementation?
Cool! @Timothy ッ
The color orange is definitely eye catching and the white in the text just makes it pop. Great job.
We will read it.
@font-face implementation. Codeandmore will generate all the appropriate font files and code so its browser and os compatible. Here's a link to their site:
Also you should restrict htaccess so people can't type in the file path and download your font for free. That will get you in some legal trouble. I hope this helps. Good luck on the site! You should definitely start writing.
Wow, very nice work Tim!
I'm using Gotham Rounded in an app right now, but Proxima Nova Soft seems like the best way to go (Gotham is outrageously expensive to use in apps, and they still don't have their web fonts out yet).
BTW, when are you going to release those icons? ;)
Great job! For the font, I would suggest Google Fonts. Their simplicity of adding custom fonts is awesome. They have a similar font called “Quicksand”.
I’m using it myself, for my website: http://dribbble.com/shots/862832-Website-navigation
2. I implemented @fontface recently. Seems work well.
Absolutely! You should always do what your heart wants. The design looks great. Best of luck to you sir; cheers.
Really looking forward to this!
Thanks everyone :)
@Ari soon! Aiming for Feb!
@Timothy ッ Yes, Do it regardless of others... do it for yourself. If you write there is always someone out there who has had the same experiences and will find your writing helpful and interesting.
I will read it with my eyes. Then I'll tell all my friends what you wrote about and they'll cry happy tears.
@Timothy ッ Honestly, yeah. I went to Munich for the first time this past summer and since then I've been curious what it would be like to work over there. Its not Berlin, but still!
The color is strong, but I like it. Way better than the icons site.
It has exciting energy. I would try to use it just in a header on inner pages though so it isn't as overwhelming. It is very cool for a splash page though.
It will pair well with white as well as a bright blue or green too.
It reminds me of Nike for some reason. I found these trying to make sense of the connection in my brain:

@Andy Fleming But hey, Nike just likes orange as much as @Timothy ッ. And it's both nice!
@Timothy ッ looks cool.
