Ok don't know about this "end-of-the-world" cra.. thing but we are cooking up the latest changes for the 23snaps product website. Check out other shots from this project here.
I attached 2 versions of the website with 2 versions of the top bar design:
- I want to go different - the client wants to explore the white version for the top bar.
Version 1 looks nicer to me, but it depends so much on the picture, so you must be sure the picture won't change in time. Version 2 is more easy to play with.
By the way the screenshot on the Mac look a bit empty, the others looks much better.
Great design! How is the scrolling going to work? If the navigation is going to be of a fixed position, then the translucent effect might conflict with the scrolled content. Although visually I like the V1 better :)
I'd go with the v1, but I'd make that transparent shape with the same hight size that v2 white shape has. This part where logo crosses the transparent section is confusing me ---> http://cl.ly/LlCm .
I prefer the higher contrast for the nav items w/ the white version, but I prefer the larger amounts of spacing on v1 in the header area. I also think you could potentially alternate the white background with another color. In this case, that might be some green? One of my all time favorite "info" pages that uses this alternating background color effectively is from @Mason Yarnell's Mixpanel page.

The white ties it together nicely visually. But different is always better!

How come you have a shadow and mirror on the macbook but only a shadow in the cell phones?

Loving no1 :)

Wow, very nice! The only thing I'd recommend is to try different fonts, Helvetica seems a bit too generic.

Nicely done @Julia Khusainova. I definitely prefer the white navigation over the dark. Keep up the solid work on this project!

Hi Julia,

Version 1 is much nicer - cleaner, more open, fresher. Version 2 seems generic and too confined. Nice work!

@Ricardo I'll give it a second look, thanks!
@Bobby That's good! Keep it up ;)
@Jacob Good question! :)
@Ari We use Helvetica Neue for the app UI so we wanted to stick to it. Thanks!
@Shaun Thanks so much, will do!
@Maria The navigation won't stick to the top so we are safe here. Thank you - good question and nice assumption!
@Aleksandar Nice touches, thank you :)
Thanks guys for your voting, your opinion means a lot.
