Seeing as how our ethos and overarching principles revolve around the concept of simplicity and the removal of the unnecessary, we've decided to put our money where our mouth is and try to reduce our logo to something overly-simple and straightforward.
We think there are some very interesting possibilites with this mark. Are we crazy or does this work?
hmm, I like the concept as it related back to your philosophy, but it seems like it's trying a little hard.. in the same way mySpace rebranded with 'My________'. Conceptually I like the direction, but the execution needs a little more than a solid bar.

As long as the actual brand name was displayed somewhere near to this I think it's a great idea and it's executed really nicely.
However without the word 'Plain' it could become pretty confusing for potential clients / users / whatever to spread the word etc.

It reads more as "censored" or "covert" than plain.
I love that you took it to this extreme, though!
