Things are coming together a bit more. The portrait orientation is pretty straightforward but the landscape orientation UI will be a lot trickier. Yup, I know I still need to adjust that refresh icon :)
@Mike@William: although the outer form factor resembles Times I hope you do not make the same mistake they did and try and copy newspaper layouts. It. does. not. work. Newspaper copy is adapted meticulously to the bounding of columns, etc. RSS derives from blog entries that unfortunately have one thing in common: they all look the same. Please make them look the same on the device :).
Mr. William, yes it is a newspaper UI, but to do a realistic-looking one in order to best follow the Apple HIG you gotta make it look like a real newspaper so there are bound to be some similarities. It doesn't try and follow an actual newspaper layout but rather is a compromise between paper and digital. Times is a well-designed, awesome RSS reader but I do not think that one application concept has a lock on the entire newspaper-as-UI idea, especially since the idea is pretty well-suited (and obvious, really) for the iPad.
I like the last refreshed indicator. Not a fan of the uppercase Helvetica, but that's more of a personal preference - I never like Helvetica uppercase.
But I guess the iPad won’t be able to rescue paid content (this is what I expect from something called "...y Post") when offline media (resp. dead trees) is dead.
By the way: Copying is the basis of all creativity. Otherwise we would just have one single newspaper all over the world and everybody would try to do something entirely else. :D (what a hell) When you add your own fresh ideas then there’s nothing to say against "copying" the news paper look. And I’m totally sure you do. It’s all about reconnecting existing ideas to create new ones by adding your ideas.

Hey Luke, thanks for the feedback, I pulled off the uppercase and went with normal titlecase, looks much cleaner :)
Louis & Sebastiaan, thanks!!!

Looking real good.
Maybe Times was first, but they aren't the only one(s) using the layered paper metaphor:
