Fold to Refresh

This is what the pull-to-refresh view is going to look like in the mail app I'm working on.

Here's an animation of how it's supposed to work, I'd love to learn how to make better GIFs in Photoshop!

It'd be nicer if the gradient altered based on the fold. But lovely stuff :)

When it's static, will it appear slightly folded like shown? or will that only happen when you go to refresh? love the colors and the idea!

    Nice work, great idea dude!
Is it me or is the header bar a little big? The icons are for sure in my opinion.

Nice work, just don't like the navigation bar, slightly to big.

Could be a pretty cool and unique interaction, but why pull down the nav bar instead of just the list?

Animate in AE -> Export in .MOV -> Import to Photoshop -> Save .GIF for Web & Devices (loop forever)

@Cat Smith this animation happens when it's pulled down.

@Timothy ッ Thanks! I've been debating the size of the icons, I'll make them about 10px smaller just for you ;)
BTW the render I'm using is this one.

@Evan Dinsmore I want the app to feel like an interface on paper mail, so you can interact with it easily.

@Pedro Ivo Hudson Thanks! I wish I had After Effects :(

@Alex Yup, it's going to be a real thing :)

What about the bottom of the screen? The tableview won't end perfectly on the last cell, so you'll have the 'bottom' of the fold area being somewhere off the bottom of the screen.

I really love the concept, but I don't think that the stroke on the left side of the mail list is necessary. I'm wondering how it would look with nothing but the colored badge on the left side of every single "mail element". :)

I mean, obviously you've been using the stroke all around the elements, but it just kinda pops out in a weird way on the left side when looking at it.

Oh man, you should take advantage of that 40px status bar. Check out what Gmail did in iOS.
