Our new sign up form ... What do you think?
It looks really good! I just wish that there were fewer fields to fill out. Is first and last name required _at_ signup, or can it be added in through profile preferences later?
Perhaps username, email, and password are the only fields needed and it would reduce clutter. Great work, though!
Too much informations asked!
No matter how good is the design, it require too much efforts.
You will get far more conversion if you ask only email + password + username.
You don't need a password confirmation if you ask the email, because the user can always regenerate a new one.
Also, you don't need to ask the user to check "accept the terms of service". You can add a text like "by subscribing, I accept the term of services".
Thanks for the great feedback, guys.
New version will only include: Username, email and password.
@Vincent Le Moign Are you sure that's enough?
I can see Twitter does it that way: http://cl.ly/image/0j102v0z2r2V
A lot of people are dropping password confirmation. I, personally, prefer the confirmation since I often sign up for things on a mobile device, which means I'll be typing things incorrectly quite often. Of course, you can reset the password via email - that's the theory behind dropping it: if you do mess it up, you can always fix it later.
Also: looks great! Awesome job :)
Have to agree with previous comments. Not Sure why do you need the first and last names at registration. That should be additional info that anyone can specify form the profile settings if they want to and this form should be simplified to username (which can be just the email) email and password (no confirmation).
