Iterate. Iterate. Iterate. That's how the Spottah icon came to be. I was trying to achieve the common camera mark while at the same time incorporating the "S" from the brand, Spottah.

I like the simplicity of the overall design very much Chris. The gradient is subtle, as is the dimensionality of the camera shape. It's just enough to stand out but not overdone. Really very nice.
My only suggestion would be to apply the lighting effect from the light yellow at the top of the icon to the camera shape. Not too much but just lighten it up a little to create the effect that the light is hitting the camera shape as well.
@Todd Coleman - fantastic suggestion! I'll play around with the lighting. Right now I just have a white inset shadow to pull the shape away from the background, but the fill should also reflect the lighting being cast on the background. Thanks!
