It's been a reaaalllly long time since I last worked on this but recently I got my motivation back so now I'm at it again. Trying to re-imagine the UX on the users' dashboard and how they keep track of their fav shows. Still a WIP (un)fortunately.

There's a @2x version too, if you'd like. Can't show any more right now... as there isn't any, haha. :)

This looks awesome. I'll admit, adding SAO to that shot is cheating. How can I NOT like that?

Glad to see you working on this again! It'd be awesome if I could get Hello! Ranking out too. xD

@Josh Fabian Oh, yes, I so agree. Past few seasons have been very fruitful. Sunday evenings are now my anime nights and the shows I watch weekly are SAO, BTOOOM!, Shin Sekai Yori and Blast of Tempest... all just brilliant shows, loving them.

@Bryan Veloso Some projects you just can't let go of, right, hehe. I really really want this one to see the light of day. Same goes for Hello! Ranking... I know it'd be very popular among the fans.

This is looking really good! Would love to see a shot of the logo.

so will the show cover/tiles flip over (or fade, etc) to reveal info & watched status?

Also loving the "Mark Episode (n) As Seen" button. Very quick! ~(*w*)~

@Cory Hughes Thanks, man! I'm afraid I'm too shy to show the logo on its own... it's not even a real logo, something I cooked up with minimal effort. I do have some further ideas I want to explore based on this, though. So once I have and I'm satisfied, I won't shy away, haha.

The show covers will have an animation on hover, yes, I forgot to mention that. I didn't actually think of a flip, my first though was just a fade. But a flip sounds like a nice idea if it's quick and smooth and won't start annoying as you hover multiple covers in a short period.

And I love you for mentioning that button... the whole idea of the watchlist on the dashboard is to make it extremely simple for the user to track the next episode(s) with minimal effort.

Sorry for the long one but you made me do it! Haha

    @Ragnar Võrel (LOL "ragunaru")

I get what you mean about the logo. get it right :p

the flip really depends on how fast the viewers browser/computer is too. I think it might be a little bit slow, fade might be nicer... for now.

I had to click to make big to see it clearly! It's probably my favourite part of the shot! and you said it was on hover? not so sure that would work out (feel right) but if you are only clicking a button (it's there when you need it to be, etc.) then that would be the quickest way... in which case I think that's awesome!

Re the long comment: I do my best! ;P

  11. So I've been playing around with the dashboard activity stream. This is of course a work in progress, just the first idea I had. As you can see, it's quite huge... yet minimal.

As much as TVbento is about keeping you organized, I want the content itself to have a huge focus for exploration purposes. Basically big images, descriptions and other additional details that might pick your interest as you go and see what your friends have been watching.

Real pixels attached (it seems my Pro account has expired and I can't be bothered to upgrade it right now):
