Often go from site to site to download plugins, gradient, texture, etc and wish there was a simpler way to find/retrieve all that in one place, directly from PS.
ps: more $ for devs/designers + could incite others.
I completely agree, would love this. Though, handling an entire store within PS might be a little daunting, especially from a fly-out palette... perhaps it would work well for those plugins you've already researched and know you want, but maybe an entire front-end store would work better, like the App Store. Regardless of how it's done, it's definitely something that would make life easier for designers. Great idea.
@Adrien Olczak Yep, definitely. Or at least promoted more heavily. And unfortunately a lot of the most useful extensions (GuideGuide for example) aren't available in Adobe Exchange.

The idea is good, but does anyone honestly think Adobé could do this without fucking it up?

This looks exactly like Adobe Exchange, except more simple and exclusively for extensions.
I think it would probably find a better home in Extension Manager, personally.

@Evan Dinsmore good catch. been around for 6months it seems, discovering it as I'm writing these lines. should be something native.
