   Did you write 'A lion mark was requested' because you don't think it's appropriate? or perhaps you think that the general design community consensus is one that believes lions are a saturated visual cue?

   Aesthetically it's a nice rendering and I like the medallion (winning) golf ball duality, intentional or not.

    very nice, one idea , not sure if it would work with the whole style of the lion, but i feel the crown is a bit too overwhelming right now and a more simplified one would make your eyes go directly to the ball/medalion. Nice job, cheers!
