I grew up about 15 minutes from this town & my best friend growing up lived there. It makes me happy to see some solid design work done for a business there.

Jon: yeah, it does look like that font. The type in this logo was actually derived from Neutraface Condensed, although I rarely use an existing font to start with. This client had expressed an interest in the type I used on my Quality Seafood logo, which was also adapted from Neutraface.
I never would have guessed it derived from Neutraface, you certainly made it your own. Thank you for replying, I always appreciate when designers that I admire are kind enough to share parts of their process. You are an inspiration my friend.
