@Cat Smith Thanks for the comment! Did you check the site? The text isn't as choppy on there, just being a super light font it didn't scale down brilliantly for the shot. And the background is blurred to make sure the text is readable, then the blur effect fades away as the user hovers over the about me button. It's quite a busy picture so the text is real difficult to read otherwise (especially at mobile sizes).
Gotcha @ the blurry photo. Yeah I didn't know what the picture looked like before blur so I probably should have left that out. As far as the site goes, yes, I actually checked it and it's choppy. I don't know if it makes a difference to you (lol) but if you'd like, I'll take a screen shot and email it to you. Totally your call.
It's probably a ClearType thing then, unfortunately my only windows access at the moment is through a VM so it didnt come up.
I've just pushed a change forcing the same antialiasing settings accross all browsers, I'm not confident it will have made a huge difference but could you just have a quick look to see if it's made any difference at all? If not I guess I'll have to look into a new font :(
Ah jeez. Yeah, Mac definitely renders type differently than windows. I hate using this laptop (long story) but, I just double checked and sorry man, still choppy. Let me know if you need some neat sans serif fonts. I came across a ton yesterday.
@Cat Smith I know, I'm a linux guy and fonts are perfect on there too. Had a look online, there's a couple of chrome bugs about this font in particular, but IE and Firefox should be fine :(.
Did you find any that are simliar looking to that? I'm using Museo Sans Rounded at the minute, I use Museo in my logo so didn't want to stray too far from that.

Hey james, looks good. Only things I'd suggest are making the BG photo less blurry and maybe messing with the text a little? It seems very choppy.
