I've had a few people ask me if I'm using 3d modeling software for some of my work lately so I thought I'd give a quick example of how I work.
1) I always start with a pencil and paper, sometimes it's really crappy like this and sometimes I spend a lot of time working with my hands trying to really work out all the little intricacies involved.
2) I snap a picture with the iPhone and throw it into Illustrator to get the outlines worked out and make sure the perspective is how I want it.
3) I pull the vector shapes into Photoshop and get to work styling it out and getting all of the details worked out.
4) Lastly, I do something else for a while then come back to it and see if fresh eyes see a detail I missed while I was glued to the monitor.
Don't forget to check out the 2x
Cheers, Comments welcome.

Thanks @Marko Jotic I'm going to do a few more of these when I have more time.
Great job Silas, try to play around with the texture. I like the plain background for presentation, although the shadows seems a bit weird to me :) Keep it up !
