Working on a book cover template for the Vector Scouts Vector Mill backpack. I made a sample book cover with heavy influence from the awesome Golden Guides Books series. I was more inspired by the design of 1980's editions. I had a bunch of these when I was younger. My favorites were the Dinosaur and Rocks & Minerals. Bigger version attached.

Treatment for gradient is pretty tight. That's the sort of thing I look at and wonder how your ever arrived at this solution.
Looks great. Gradient looks like old dot matrix printers. Just a heads up on the typo on "Mill".
@Kyle Schmitz You'd think I could spell "Mill" right! Got a little too excited to post.
@Ryan Putnam I double type letters ALL the time. Or capitalize the first TWO letters. Or leave random V's and T's in text boxes from trying to use Adobe shortcuts.
@Kyle Schmitz I have the exact same problem.
Sweet, really nice!
Nice and neat. Dig it.
thought MIIL might be on purpose. I'd leave the typo, kinda describes the process.
but maybe that doesn't make since for a book going to print ...
@Kyle Schmitz, same thing for me, it happens so much!
I wish Illustrator's interface was as dope as your take on it.
@Kyle Schmitz My typo is even worse. I drew out the letters instead of using a font, so I drew the same letter twice!
Is the book all vector based?
Dude, that looks too slick. Great job!
@Tyler Courtenay Yup!
Oh man, I totally forgot about Golden Guides! You're taking me back, man. Nice work, you always inspire.
Love the style. Looks killer.
