This was one of several identities I created for a restaurant out at the beach. Originally they were an Asian fusion restaurant, but they were rebranding themselves to be more of an American-style grill, however they still wanted to hold on to some of the Asian heritage. The Koi fish here is a simplified, cleaned up version of the cartoon-ish Koi in their original mark.

Grrrr. The colors are rendering funny. the background was way more muted in the original...
Anyway, this is another version of the Sakana identity. With this one, I used the "s" and "o" to suggest the Asian heritage of the restaurant by creating a yin/yang that also suggets an ocean wave. yeah. lol.

Nice to see some local stuff. I think the koi could even be simpler, or have larger details.
