After Effects experiment. - Creation steps were:
1- Created the shapes in Illustrator
2- Imported in Photoshop, applied texture and changed blending mode. Saved every shape as an png.
3- Imported in After Effects and used Scale & Position options to create animation.

I'm a noob at animation. I think I really need to try AE for it instead of Photoshop..

@Gert van Duinen Yes AE is a way to go when it comes to animation (I'm noob too btw). This kind of basic animation is easy to achive believe me :)
Just give it a go and you will see. And your works are just amazing.
