I just finished a really fun project with Smithsonian Magazine illustrating the word 'fire'. If you're interested, some sketches and painting process and the full image are on my site. Thanks guys!

You're on fire Jacqui!
... I'll show myself out.
Ha ha! Thanks @Neil Tasker and @Chris Rushing ! It's always nice to get lettering jobs especially when they involve flames.
Sharing the process is very awesome. While you do a lot of things in an analogue fashion, is there much digital editing afterwards?
so cool! love the wood texture element. beautiful work.
I'd be interested to see a version... with more FIRE.
My eyeballs hurt. Too good.
Loving this thiiiiis much.
@Simon H. - no problem. I do most of my pieces fully analog but sometimes I do the line-work in ink and then I add my painting textures digitally. With this one it was all analog with no digital editing except colour correcting the scan. Glad you like it!
@Tim Lampe there's always room for more fire, but they wouldn't have been able to contain it in this context.
@Karli Ingersoll @Bryan Flynn @Simone Noronha Thanks guys!
@Derrick Kempf - ha ha! Thanks man.
