I really like the Music control buttons, way better than the cheap look it has now.

But extra Bluetooth or WiFi toggles, I don't see that happening. Ever since iOS people are making mockups of this, but it's not within Apple's philosophy to do something like that. They don't want the user to have to think about whether some connection is on or off. If you use Bluetooth sometimes, leave it always on. Otherwise, leave it off.

They sacrifice battery life to make iOS a bit more simple, and I think I agree with that.

@joostvanderree Thanks! ('cheap look' is a very adept description :p)

And yes, I agree that toggles aren't something that fit into their ideal UX philosophy, but the fact of the matter is that users do indeed open up the settings app on a bi-regular basis in order to switch on/off various elements. For some it's bluetooth, for others it's 3G/cellular, perhaps wifi, etc.

So at the end of the day, these things do impact battery life, and many users are aware enough of that fact to be opening up the settings app and digging into panes to reach an on-off switch. I think most find it a silly sacrifice if in the name of simplicity.

PS. For those wondering, these toggles aren't the main view; see pagination icons. :p
