    i see "bird", but what's up with "logo"? think bird just 1/2 of "logobird" so add something that will emphasize logo

    I do quite like this!
    You have a very strong silhouette of the bird and so many ways you could play with the negative space that offsets off the bird's body if you wanted to explore the "logo" bit. Also in the rebound shot, a pencil in the beak might be more "logo" than a leaf, I am thinking!

    Thanks for the feedback Sneh. I think you are right, I will probably ditch the leaf in the rebounded shot.
    Still not settled on this design yet. I have a few weeks before I relaunch the blog so have some time up my sleeve to play with a few more concepts. Cheers!

    I agree with Sneh. I think a pencil would go nicely with the design. A nice little accent to show the draftsmanship of logo design.

    in my opinion it's too obvious, it's like you have a Poster and you write BIRD on it, or in your case a silhouette of a bird... if you see it you directly think "oh cool, it's a bird", I would feel like expecting something and asking myself "hmm what else? where's the surprise? is there some hidden fact?"

    I'm babbling too much, don't understand me wrong, I love simplicity, but you can do it better.. and with that I mean Not just adding a pencil!
