Well I'm way out of my comfort zone here. I wanted to try to push my boundaries today and try learning something new this saturday. I spend 2 hours on the dot working on this. I sketched out a billion 't's and then scanned in an went for it. I used circles and stuff to get the curves right so im pretty sure i'm a professional typographer now.
Shit I can't even tell the difference between Helvetica and Papyrus, but I am sitting here vulnerable asking for feedback. I think the 3D effect pretty much bombed. Not sure how to fix that, probably lighting and more squared off edges.
Admittedly (and obviously) inspired by @Nick Slater Saturday is learn day. Thanks for inspiring, dude.
Nice dude. Dig the color choice a lot! The broken vertical flow behind the crossbar is a bit confusing imo, but i disagree with the 3D bombing haha. I like it, it's just "styled" differently hahaha.
And no worries, I did my own Slater tribute shot not too long ago. @Nick certainly is an inspirational dude. Keep it up!
@Adam Trageser yea dude your tribute is insane though! Ah well I'm glad you like it :) Yea i see what you mean about the confusion. I just sort of drew some wavy lines with a pen and used that, so i ended up illustrating the whole flow (including the backtrace, if you will) thanks for the feedback
@Edin Vejzović thanks yea i can see what you mean. i didn't really use much theory behind my lighting. i just sort of guessed on what i thought looked cool. could use some more physics :D
@Nick Slater whoa I never saw this comment. You were the main person i was hoping to get a comment from too haha!
I don't stand a chance...yet but I'm gonna keep it up it was really fun. I'd like to do a nice logotype with some swishys and swirlys soon. I gotta practice though. Thanks for the comment even if i am 4 days late
I like this, it's an interesting form, and the depth is good. If I were to make two suggestions they'd be to darken the shaded side of the extrusions, and to use more saturated yellow highlights on the front of the T, rather that the lighter/whiter highlights.

That glossy lightning looks a bit awkward, other than that, great work
