The Sunset Sessions represents authentic California lifestyle & vintage fashion (mostly focused on 1960s-90s) which embraces photography/design, music, surfing, skateboarding, snowboarding culture & unique individuals. It's a new brand which I've recently personally launched and have been fostering the creative direction and branding for (as well as all photography direction, styling/wardrobe and photo shoot production.)
I designed this word mark and branding in this manner because it is a reference to the 60s and 70s style typography and graphic design found in many music and film and board-riding culture artwork. I modified the serifs in the type to incorporate the wave, surf iconography and play off the natural curves found in the type structure, serifs. Fusing elements together like the shoulder and stems with the tittle or spine—(ie. "n" and "i")—helped unify the lines + separate words together a bit closer.
All comments and feedback (good or bad) are totally welcome anytime!! I'd love any feedback or crit from anyone anytime, since it's my new project and I'm always wanting to improve it and would love for it to really succeed. Thank you in advance!! ...You can also see more at: http://sunset-sessions.com/
